The knife sharpening guide will show you how to sharpen your knife quickly and keep it that way. When the knife sharpens properly there will be you when you need it. As with most things in life, there is a correct way and the wrong way. These tips are offered honing compliments of buck knives and we thank them for their permission to reprint these materials.
Sharpen your knife
Sharpening knife what to do and what not. Never sharpen your knife on a wheel driven grinding powered. You can burn the nerves of your blade making the edge crisp and more prone to chips or cracks. This warranty is also canceled.
Sharp knives with Stone. To sharpen the knife blade well, use a sharpening stone. Check out our excellent range of sharp and solid fixtures. Always sharpen with a wet stone. For touch-ups use a fine grit stone. If the blade is really boring, use the coarse stones first, then move to the fine gravel stone.
Sharp With Diamond Stone. Made of metal or base alloy, diamond stone sharpener has an outer layer of micron-sized diamond bonded to a metal surface. Many special surface holes to prevent "fill accumulation".
Diamond stones are quick and effective and come in different grits. You can use a wet or dry diamond stone, but we recommend wetting. Use water or water to sharpen water, not oil-based oil.
Natural Sharpening stones. Arkansas Natural Stones Washita is a real silica "Novaculite" from Arkansas. Different fillings and abrasive qualities make excellent sharpening stones.
Wet or dry natural grinding stones can be used. We recommend using it moist. Water, oil-based grease or oil-based lipid oil works better. Consider using oil on a natural stone is a commitment. It is difficult, if not impossible, to return to the water.
Do not be stingy with sharpening liquid during sharpening. Use enough to keep the pond visible on the stone. Once mysterious, pat or lightly wipe liquid, then add more.

How to clean and take care of the Sharpen Stone
. Use a little extra liquid to clean and dry the dryer after each use. Shop carefully. Bright gray lines are a good indicator of debris accumulation. Clean the sharpener well.
- If water or grease is used, clean it with soap and water.
- If oil-based grease is used, use the same oil or kerosene.
- To clean the hygiene, use your finger or an old toothbrush.
- Do not drop your briquettes. Being made of stone, it may break or chip.
- Sharpening liquids. Depending on the sharpening stone, you can use water, water-based hydration and oil-based grease oil. Treat your choice of lip sharpening as a lasting one. Because of the porous nature of the stone itself, it is very difficult to shift from oil based lubricants.
- We suggest sharpening on a damp stone because it cleans the pores of the sharpener, dissipates the heat of the friction and facilitates smooth grinding.
